There's also a lot of interest in having a way to sort through offers by fandom. I can't do it or even help - I'm heading out of town for the weekend in about 15 hours. I will have my laptop so I can do general community work/management, but it's not that easy to work in multiple windows on my laptop (in part because my Firefox has been crashing far too much recently).

If people want to organize themselves in the comments to this post, to make such an index, that would be terrific and super-helpful!

Thanks to [info]thefannishwaldo, a collection-space has been set up on An Archive of Our Own (aka AOOO) - you can find it here. If you have an AOOO account, you can add a story to the Help_Haiti collection by clicking here, then clicking on Post New Story.

If you don't have an AOOO account and want one, comment here on this thread, and we'll try to get you an account within the next few days. I have one invitation myself, and I'll give it to the first Lightning Round offeror who replies to this post with I'll take it! in the subject. Just link me to your Lightning Round thread.

Obviously, use of AOOO is entirely optional and up to the Offeror and the Fic Recipient. Right now, because AOOO only hosts fic, it's also limited to stories only.

Lastly, thanks to [info]glockgal who donated an LJ gift cert so the comm is now "paid" and ad-free!

I'd be happy to help out with organizing a list by fandoms--including heading the organizing efforts--but I definitely wouldn't be able to do it alone.

A suggestion: assign each compiler a chunk of the alphabet (A-C, D-F, etc.), and then have them compile all the fandoms that fall within those letters.

I just wanted to thank you for putting all of this together. I'm taking an Intro to Popular Culture class this semester, and on the first day of class, our professor wanted us to say our favorite aspect of pop culture. I said internet fandom. You, and all of the amazing people who are participating in this, have reinforced that for me. This is truly an amazing thing to witness and be a part of.

Hey, I was thinking of tagging the Lightning Round so that it's a little easier to navigate for people, like myself, with the extra $5 or $10 to spare, then I saw that [info]oulangi is doing delicious tags. If she's not including the Lightning Round, is it okay if I set up a parallel account specifically for it to make searching easier? (If she is doing the L-R, I'll volunteer to help tag there.)

Cool beans. I dropped a thread in her latest post, too, which is about the delicious, so I await her response.

I was thinking something very basic, like haiti_helps_lightning. (I'll wait for a response before going any further, and I'll delete this account if I should tag under the main one.)

*facepalm* It helps if I don't switch 'haiti' and 'help' when creating an account.

[info]oulangi told me that either way worked for her, so I think I'm going to do the lightning round in parallel and then be an assistant tagger for the main account. So, help_haiti_lightning, starting with the most recent posts and working backwards to the earlier posts.

[info]too_rational's going to help me with the tagging.

The Lightning Round delicious is complete through the last post on page nine. It's organized by creator, fandom, project type (art, fanfic, original fic, vids, etc), and the pairing type (gen, het, slash, femmeslash, threesome, moresomes).

Open fandom indicates that the poster is willing to offer things not specified on her or his list or that the post linked off-site for the fandom list.

In general, the rps/rpf categories are a bit shaky, but we kept everything as standardized as we could. However, since we aren't familiar with every corner of fandom, and a lot of categories are shaky, there are some inconsistencies and, probably, errors.

I'm not sure where you're going to want to place help_haiti_lightning, in the Lightning Round post or what. I did drop a note in the comments of the master list [info]eponymous_rose is maintaining on words, although the Lightning Round has a little bit of everything. Anyways, it's now done through the current post on page 10, and too_rational and I are going to keep and eye on it and update as we can.

Hey, umm, sorry to bug you again, but the Lightning Round delicious, help_haiti_lightning isn't the main delicious account, help_haiti. [info]oulangi had said that she was okay either way, so I separated it out. The delicious links on the main site are all to the main help_haiti, which is an awesomecakes site that I'll contribute to when the LR tagging is done, but it doesn't point people to the specifics of the the LR.

(Unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible, because I have little tags floating in front of my eyes at this point.)

I also did a brief post at my lj explaining the logic behind our tagging system here.

In general, it can be boiled down to 'tags aren't perfect, but we did the best we could (contact us if something's hideously wrong),' 'just because something's not listed, like femmeslash, as a tag doesn't mean the author's not willing to write it - we were conservative when tagging and tried to stick with what was explicitly said,' and 'the tag open.fandom means the creator is willing to offer things not on the list.'

It appears that the help_haiti Archive of Our Own collection says isn't accepting new works at this time. You're probably aware of that and plan to open it at some point and announce it when it happens, but just in case not I thought I'd drop a note.

You cannot add stories to the PARENT collection.
Within the big box for the collection there are two links: Lightning Round and Round 1 - February 14th.

Click on the relevant round and you can leave your fic in the right place.

I'll try to clarify that in the blurb.
