If you are posting a new Offering of Words, please post it on this thread. Do not re-post things you posted on the other thread - that one will stay live for new bids and comments.

If you have any questions, please do not ask them on this post - ask them here instead.

If you would like to offer words - fanfic, original fic, a printed book or printed fanfic, beta reading services, podficcing services, non-fanfic editing services or the like, please use the template below to offer your words or word-related services. If you're offering a story, feel free to provide a maximum and/or minimum word count.

Since we are going to have a second round of auctions later this winter, the goal for this round will be for things that can be delivered by February 14, although if you want to offer something with a later delivery date, please indicate that in the Additional Info section. Also, if you are offering more than one item, or would like to indicate a "reserve" of up to $50, please indicate so in the Additional Info section.

This auction will close on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at approximately noon Eastern Standard Time.

Bidding Rules

Bid by commenting to the Offering post.

Bids must be raised by at least a dollar per bid

Please do not delete comment containing a bid - if you have an issue, please comment to your bid explaining what happened, or contact a Comm mod.

How to Offer
Please list the type of item and fandom (if relevant) in the Subject to your post.

Paste the following into the Comment window and fill in the non-optional spaces.

User Name: [info]drusillas_rain
Email address: drusillas_rain at yahoo dot ca
You can see things I've created at: [info]drusillas_rain

I am offering: An in depth critique of either original fiction or fanfiction of up to 50,000 words. This includes 1 round of editing, sending you a list of questions to think about reframing sections/plot points, as well as an open dialogue via email or IM.

Fandoms: Original fiction (any genre).
Fandoms - Harry Potter, Star Trek (TOS/AOS, TNG, DS9), Buffy/Angel.

Additional Info: I belong to a professional critique group and have edited 50 short stories in the last year alone for both published and unpublished authors. I also beta in fandom, especially for exchanges (various pairings).

Just a warning - I won't coddle you or fangirl you. Even if I love your fic and your writing, I will find flaws and make suggestions. I will, however, do everything I can to help bring out your best story.

Starting Bid: $10

Oh shit. I think I left a comment, instead of bidding on you! DURR!

Okay, NAOW I'll bid on this.

After you've made your donations(s), please confirm your donation to the item Offeror or the [info]help_haiti mods, as explained here.

If you have any questions, ask them here.

Remember, we have screened replies at [info]help_haiti for the time being, so discussion between Offeror and Winning Bidder should move out of the comm into one of your LJs, PMs, email, etc.

Thank you from [info]help_haiti!

We've just notified the winning bidder(s), and asked them to connect with you directly, or with us, to confirm their donation. Once they do, you can get started on your Offering, or ship it to them, or whatever suits the circumstances. Or if you prefer, you can get in touch with the winning bidder yourself, any time.

Once a winning bidder has sent you confirmation of his or her donation, we would really appreciate it if you visited the Donation Confirmation Station at http://community.livejournal.com/help_haiti/10005.html - it will really help with our record keeping and putting together the final tally.

If you have any questions, ask them here; if you haven't heard from the Winning Bidder by Sunday, and you've tried to contact him or her yourself, let us know there, too.

Remember, we have screened replies at [info]help_haiti for the time being, so discussion between Offeror and Winning Bidder should move out of the comm into one of your LJs, PMs, email, etc.
