Offering Something Interesting
heidi8 wrote in help_haiti
If you would like to offer something that you don't think is covered by any of the Offering posts below, feel free to post your offer as a comment to this post.

Since we are going to have a second round of auctions later this winter, the goal for this round will be for things that can be delivered by February 14, although if you want to offer something with a later delivery date, please indicate that in the Additional Info section. Also, if you are offering more than one item, or would like to indicate a "reserve" of up to $50, please indicate so in the Additional Info section.

This auction will close on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at approximately noon Eastern Standard Time.

Bidding Rules

Bid by commenting to the Offering post.

Bids must be raised by at least a dollar per bid

Please do not delete comment containing a bid - if you have an issue, please comment to your bid explaining what happened, or contact a Comm mod.

How to Offer
Please list the type of item and fandom (if relevant) in the Subject to your post.

Paste the following into the Comment window and fill in the non-optional spaces.

ETA on Saturday morning If the item will be sent in a package to the winner, please indicate whether the winner will pay shipping, or if you will, or if you'll work it out between the two of you. If there are limitations on where it can be sent, please indicate this too. Additional Info is probably the best place but a comment to your original post is fine too.

You can see things I've created at: You can see previous examples of my online readings here.
I am offering: a 4 - 6 card Tarot spread with numerology readings based on the card numbers/other signifiers (depending on the reading). I can do your reading over chat (google/YM/IM) or via email, or phone if you like. I tend to pull a lot of info from a few cards which is why I'm not doing a larger spread. I can also do a strict numerology reading if you'd prefer, but I like mixing/matching.

Starting Bid: $5!

Re: Tarot+Numerology reading!

$10 for a reading!!

LOTR ("Lord of the Rings") collectible

User Name: shirebound
Email address: shirebound1@gmail.com

* Starting Bid: $15.00. Please REPLY to this post, don't "leave a comment".
* Bids must be raised by at least a dollar per bid.
* If item is shipped outside the U.S., a slow and inexpensive delivery method will need to be used.

I am offering: One of the rare Sideshow/Weta Lord of the Rings Film Frame Collectibles, given as a souvenir for the “Trilogy Tuesday” screening of the three films on December 16, 2003. I can vouch for its authenticity, as I received it personally in a Nashville, Tennessee theate in the wee hours of December 17 after the screening.

This item comes in original box with original inserts, and measures 5” wide by 4” high. The bottom bears the following legend: Sideshow WETA Collectibles. “The Lord of the Rings Film Frame Collectible”

Frame #1, from “The Fellowship of the Ring”, is a close-up of Boromir at Amon Hen.
Frame #2, from “The Two Towers”, shows the distraught woman at Helms Deep whose young son is being pulled away to be a soldier.
Frame #3, from “The Return of the King”, shows Gandalf the White wielding his staff.

The insert reads:

Congratulations on receiving this unique piece of film history.

At the request of New Line Cinema, Sideshow Collectibles and Weta Workshop have designed this ultimate gift item celebrating The Lord of the Rings” film trilogy. Weta Workshop, the effects studio responsible for helping Peter Jackson to bring Middle-earth to life, has crafted this exclusive desk piece that includes actual film frames from The Fellowship of the Ring”, The Two Towers”, as well as the Return of the King”. Each strip of film is unique and individually cut from a single reel selected from each of the three films. These frames are in CinemaScope wide-ratio format, which gives the actual frame the appearance of being distorted. However, when it’s projected onto screens in theaters using an anamorphic lens, the frame appears proportional. The film frames also have thin stripes on the left hand side of each frame. These stripes are the optical sound tracks.

The film frames are embedded in a hand crafted desktop frame that is representative of the most iconic cultures in each of the films. The Fellowship of the Ring sculpted motifs include the graphics on the door to the Mines of Moria, as well as Dwarven architectural elements. The Two Towers sculpted motifs include the Golden Sun seen above the doors of the Great Hall of Rohan, as well as other Rohirrim elements. The Return of the King sculpted motifs include the White Tree of Gondor, as well as motifs of Minas Tirith including the crown and seven stars of Gondor. The frame is accented by the Eye of Sauron located at the apex of the cultures with the graphic motifs of his overbearing presence invading down into the entire piece.

Please REPLY to this post, don't "leave a comment". Thanks!
